On behalf of myself and Riverkeeper, we’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the 22 dedicated Riverkeeper supporters who rode over 42 miles on Sunday, May 1, in the 2011 TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour in support of Riverkeeper. This bike race is the largest recreational cycling event in America, where 32,000 cyclists took on a 42 mile car-free ride through New York City and conquered it! Ten of our cyclists pledged to raise funds for Riverkeeper and collectively, they’ve raised almost $9,000 to date and although the race is over, they’re still raising funds.
