Pollen? Yellow/white substance being reported along Hudson

Substance observed this morning on the Hudson River shoreline at Verplanck.

1303Riverkeeper has received several reports today of a heavy, yellow-white substance in areas of Hudson River shoreline from Yonkers to Verplanck. The Department of Environmental Conservation suspects it may be pollen, some reports described the material as oily.

If you suspect it may not be pollen, send the following to Riverkeeper or contact DEC.
