Judy Mogul

Judy re-joined the Riverkeeper board in 2023 after previously serving from 2017-2019, during which time she was highly involved in efforts to close Indian Point. She stepped down from the board when she went to work for the administration of Governor Andrew Cuomo, where she worked on public integrity, criminal justice and gun violence issues. She was also a Partner at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello PC, handling complex commercial litigation, regulatory and criminal matters. Early in her career she was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Judy has been recognized by The Legal 500 in Securities: Shareholder Litigation and in White Collar Criminal Defense (2013, 2012). Judy co-authored the treatise Civil Practice in the Southern District of New York, 2d. Ed. (Thomson West 2023), as well as a regular column on federal civil practice in the Southern District of New York for the New York Law Journal.

Judy is chair of the Board of Directors of the Glynwood Center, an organization dedicated to promoting just and resilient regional food systems. She is also a former member of the Board of Directors and current volunteer with the National Center for Access to Justice, a non-partisan law and policy organization dedicated to achieving reform on behalf of vulnerable people in the civil and criminal justice systems.

Judy’s husband, Daniel Kramer, is a partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, as well as a board member at Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Scenic Hudson Land Trust, Hudson Highlands Land Trust, and Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail.
