Results of Third Mohawk River Water Quality Snapshot

The results of our third snapshot of water quality in the Mohawk River and barge canal are available. Samples were taken Sept. 13 and 14, with samples collected by Riverkeeper and SUNY Cobleskill, and all samples were processed by SUNY Cobleskill.

There was rain in the days preceding these samples, with over 2 inches of rain recorded in Albany, cumulatively, in the three days prior, and less recorded in Rome in the same time period.
