Today I patrolled south from Waterford and Troy through the Port of Albany and was reminded of some photos sent to me in 2012 by my longtime great friend Susie Rogers (Bard Professor, kayaker, author of “My Reach: A Hudson River Memoir”).
She was kayaking up here one day and came upon a squirrel swimming across the River. Rather than avoid her it swam over and climbed aboard her kayak. She gave it a lift ashore and off it went. How cool is that?
