Join Hudson Valley Writers Resist on Martin Luther King’s Birthday to celebrate Writers Resist with an unforgettable, free Hudson Valley event. Writers, musicians, and activists take over the Bearsville Theater to celebrate the power of words, compassion, equality, free speech, and democracy.

Hudson Valley Writers Resist is one of more than 40 happenings on this international day of resistance out-loud co-sponsored by PEN America.

Three sets: 2pm, 3pm, 4pm. Admission is free and unlimited. Please visit the fundraising tables and help us support local and national nonprofits. Books for sale will benefit the New York Civil Liberties Union, courtesy of The Golden Notebook Bookstore. Come together with your community to reignite hope and build bridges, not walls.

This event is a benefit for the Riverkeeper, NYCLU, Planned Parenthood of the Mid-Hudson Valley. For more information about participating writers, musicians, and activists, visit the Hudson Valley Writers Resist website.
