Urban Water Quality: Citizen Science to Coordinated Action

The 2018 Lower Hudson Urban Waters Summit will bring citizen watershed groups in the Lower Hudson Valley together with non-profit organizations, universities, municipalities and agencies at the county, state and federal levels to discuss the latest results of citizen water quality monitoring, and identify opportunities for acting on the results.

Register on Eventbrite by February 26 for $10. The event will take place at the Pace University – Pleasantville Campus in the Kessel Student Center, in the Gottesman Room.

Progress, Impediments, and Opportunities in Our Watersheds
Sparkill Creek and Bronx, Pocantico and Saw Mill River organizations discuss the biggest success from 2017, and notable challenges and opportunities they hope to address in 2018.

County, state and non-profit entities provide updates on relevant initiatives that may address identified opportunities and challenges.

Targeted Breakout Discussions on Next Steps, Report Out
Representatives of agency/orgs/municipalities are grouped for facilitated discussion and note-taking to connect opportunities/challenges to available programs/resources.
