Michael Jacobs

Michael Jacobs is a Program Manager with the Corporate Citizenship team at IBM. In this role, he is responsible for planning and managing pro bono and other philanthropic activity related to natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Previously, he served as the Superintendent for Capital Projects at MTA New York City Transit and as a government consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. Michael holds a dual Master of Public Administration from Columbia University and The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University.
Michael was drawn to Riverkeeper after growing up at the nexus of the Hudson and Harlem Rivers. He tries to find time for hiking, biking, and fishing whenever he can. Michael and his wife Abby live in Inwood in upper Manhattan with their Newfoundland, Fran, who is a very good dog.
