Rebecca Cheeks Soule, PhD

Rebecca Cheeks Soule, PhD resides in New York City with her husband, Jeff Soule. Rebecca draws from her extensive science background to inform her work as a meditation and yoga teacher in the city. Previously she was a Howard Hughes Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley and, after moving from California to New York, the Program Coordinator for the Science & Nature Program at the American Museum of Natural History.

As a member of Riverkeeper’s Leadership Council, Rebecca hopes to foster a sense of stewardship and awareness for the Mighty Hudson River, and to cultivate recognition of its primary custodian, Riverkeeper, especially among New York City’s residents.
