This sandy beach next to Socrates Sculpture Garden is Astoria's best East River access point and is used by the Long Island City Community Boathouse for public programming. The site is also a launch on the NYC Water Trail. Site Coordinator: John Bradley. Site Sponsor: Long Island City Community Boathouse.
