Entero Count

Enterococcus (“Entero”) is a fecal indicating bacterium that lives in the intestines of humans and other warm-blooded animals. It is the EPA preferred indicator for sewage contamination.

About this location:

This site, just outside of Kingston, is the historical terminus of the Delaware and Hudson Canal. This site is located at a DEC shoreline fishing access point where there is also a boat launch. The Eddyville Dam is located three-quarters of a mile downstream of this site.
